LFW: What we already saw

The New York Fashion Week just finished or the one in London is already exploding. Today was the kick-off  and they did great! With shows like Zoë Jordan, Felder Felder, Jean-Pierre Braganza and many more, it just couldn't go wrong.

The shows started today early but I think the real fashionistas don't care about time. 

Zoë Jordan had a colorful but also soft collection for the pre SS2013. There was loads of yellow but most of the time it was matched with white. And then there was some pink too. I think Zoë wants to give us a soft, nice, elegant look but with the touch of the summer colors.

Felder Felder did a great job as well. They had prints and loads of different colors. Just creative in its own defenition.The colors were natural but still feminin. There was some nude but also purple and blue and black. The first thing that came in my head when I saw this collection was that they looked so loose. And I think that is what we need in the summer.

Jean-Pierre Braganza was his own special but cool self. You can see in his clothes that he respects women. Black and white showed up in every piece, but sometimes the details were finished with some beautiful colors who made the look complete. The clothes were very abstract and that is what modern fashion is all about.

In elke stad vind je wel een muur waarop tekeningen staan van verf, graffiti ... Meestal willen we er niets mee te maken hebben, maar wat als we er nu wel eens iets achter zoeken. Zou dat niet iets moois opleveren?

                                     
Bekijk alles langs een positieve en creatieve kant. Er zijn veel auteurs, muzikanten, dichters die hun inspiratie        uit dit soort kunst halen dus waarom de designers onder ons niet?

Het is niet gemakkelijk om je eigen stof te maken. Als je de juiste mensen kent, kan je je idee met je keuze van graffiti werk doorsturen naar een bedrijf dat stoffen maakt en dan ben je klaar, maar voor veel mensen is dit niet vanzelfsprekend. Er zijn een paar manieren hoe je dit goedkoop kan oplossen. Als je echt een mooi stuk heb gezien, maak er een foto van of slaag het op op je computer. Je haalt een mooi kledingstuk uit de winkel, koopt in bijv HEMA T-shirt transferpapier en drukt je afbeelding op je kleding.

Een andere manier is dat je je T-shirt laat drukken in een gespecialiseerde zaak. Hier heb je natuurlijk weinig keus van shirts of andere kledingstukken, maar adat de print erop staat kan je iets creatiefs doen met die     t-shirt.
